Happy Mother's Day :)

Wishing you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY :) I hope you are being spoilt by your families just as much as I am!! Breaky in bed and a chance to play at the craft desk:) Ahhh...luxury!! The Mother's Day Card below is one that I made this week using the colours from Colour Q  (cQc#136); the theme of punches at Stampin' Royalty; (SR#123) along with Stampin' Up! papers, sentiment and punches and a dash of Cuttlebug embossing.
The card came together so nicely that I made another one with a little variation...some bling and a 'Just for You'  sentiment:)
The next card that I have to share with you uses this week's sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday...
Kiddlywink 1's friend asked me to make a card for her Dad's 50th birthday this weekend and with Dad being a train driver I searched through the stash and found this train stamp from many moons ago (think that its one that the kids received as a pressie that I just knew would come in handy one day). So with Cuttlebug embossing; Stampin' Up! papers and sentiment; and the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday I set out to create a special birthday card:)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Crafty Fun @ Sandybeaches:)

I had a chance to browse over at Splitcoaststampers the other day...and after many minutes (or..maybe hours) I decided to take the plunge and follow this fabulous tutorial...and wah lah...fun! fun! fun!! So I popped over to see the latest challenge at The Shabby Tea Room and used this weeks (#113) for colour inspiration:)
It goes perfectly with the Mother's Day Card that I made....
I actually had so much fun that I decided that it was the perfect Mother's Day Gift to create at school with a class full of 7-8 year olds...so the photo below is enough crafty bits and pieces - cut, scored and ready for clever little fingers to put together?!!
The next card that I had a chance to get a little crafty with uses this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday...the perfect combination of Stampin' Up papers, stamps, punches; Cuttlebug embossing and Copics colouring just jumped to together to create this Mother's Day Card.

Using this weeks sketch over at Unscripted Sketches (#157) I had a chance to create a little more:) With Magnolia's Tilda stamp; Stampin' Up! papers, ribbon, sentiment stamp, butterfly die cuts; and Cuttlebug embossing...the sketch made the card come together so nicely!

The last but not least the final card to share for today is one that uses this weeks sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday #152...I had a request to make a 50th Birthday Card for birthday celebrations this weekend:) So with the craft desk a buzz with Stampin' Up! papers, bling and stamps; Cuttlebug embossing and number die cut; and extra bits and pieces from the stash...I just love having a chance to play along:)

I hope your week is cruising along nicely in your part of the world:)

It's the 1st of May:)

Being back to work for the past week or so...I just had to start with another couple of photos of our holidays:) Our holidays were full of  lots of fun and relaxation in our perfect place in the world!

Last week I  was lucky enough to appear in the Top 3 at Unscripted Sketches with this owl card below:) Wahhoooo! Hoot Hoot Hooray:)

I had a snippet of time this evening to play with this weeks sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday #151...

I had a chance to begin a little 'Mother's Day' card collection....I popped over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see the latest and greatest in sketches and inspiration...gathered together my Stampin' Up! products, Cuttlebug embossing, Copics colouring and other bits and pieces from the craft stash...including a Kaiser Kraft stamp from few years ago...and wah lah...the latest creation here at Sandybeaches!

The card below is currently in the post on its way to my wonderful Nan...she will be celebrating her 84th Birthday tomorrow!!! I made this card last week at Stamp Club and just knew the special someone that I was making it for!! I was about to post it and remembered that I hadn't taken a photo...
I think the front seat of the Mazda makes a great background for the Flower Pot Card:)
Sending many hip happity birthday wishes to Nan Nan from us all here at Sandybeaches xxxx
