Christmas Cards:)

Over at PaperPlay Challenges this week it's all about Christmas:) So with Tilda from Magnolia Stamps, Copics colouring, Stampin' Up! card and ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing and bits-n-pieces from the craft stash...here is my first card to show you today!

I discovered 4 Crafty Chicks this morning and immediately used the Christmas theme to make a couple of cards using CC Designs images, Copics colouring, Stampin' Up card, plus other bits and pieces from the craft stash:)

With a little inspiration from Stampin' Royalty this week...(I was thrilled last week when I was in their TOP PICKS!!!) I used one of my Lori Boyd Images, Copics colouring, Stampin' Up papers, flowers, sentiment, punch and a little Versimark background stamping to create this 'Holiday Greetings' card :)

These next two Christmas cards use this weeks theme over at Cute Card Thursday of Stripes....I just love Edwin in his Top Hat from Magnolia Stamps:) Copics colouring, Stampin' Up! papers, punches, sentiment, ink and bling from the stash!

So with Christmas around the corner...I had a request from my friend at the local florist to pop a few cards in the shop....So it was "Hi Ho! Hi Ho! Off to create I go!"...and here they are!

I popped over to Unscripted Sketches (#136)for inspiration to create two special 'belated' birthday cards...and inspiration I found! Copics colouring, Lori Boyd and Stamp It! images, Stampin' Up! papers, punches, ink, sentiments, Cuttlebug embossing..and lots of love and creativity:) These two cards will be in the mail ( yes...I know...just a little late or ok..maybe a LOT late for one of them) for a special family about 17 or so hours drive away!! Always love catching up..and sending through special things!!! Mmmm...how many more sleeps until Christmas??! So many things to do...so little time:)

The first card I'd like to share is a Christmas one using the latest sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday:) I've gone for blues and purples using Tilda from Magnolia stamps, Copics Colouring (from October holidays?!?) Stampin' Up! card, ink, sentiment, punch, plus bits and pieces from the craft stash and just love the way its come together!!

The second Christmas card uses this weeks sketch over at Stampin' Royalty...again using the gorgeous Tilda from Magnolia stamps, Stampin' Up! Card, ink, ribbon, punches, Copics colouring and bits and pieces from the craft stash:) Time is just flying by...and with the lead up to Christmas being as busy as ever...I've managed to create a whole class of flip photo albums showing the highlights of 2011..and as I sit here about to blog some cards I've created over the weekend...I've realised that I haven't even taken one photo of my mini photo album creations?!! Had better take a few photos before they get sent home tomorrow:)

WoW!! Where has 2011 gone?!? I managed to steal a creative moment last week....a much needed last minute/night before card was required for hubby's bday?!?! lol...so over to much loved Sweet Sketch Wednesday I went a searching for inspiration! And wahlah...as always inspiration I found using the SSW Sketch (which I turned on its side?!); Stampin' Up! image, papers, punches, bling; and Cuttlebug embossing and oops I nearly forgot to blog it?! Roll on the Christmas Holidays!!! A special time for family, friends, relaxing, fun and craft!!!! Aaaah...let me see...how many more school days to go?!? I'm setting out to start to make my annual Mini Christmas Concertina Photo Albums..hope I haven't left my creativeness too late?! hee hee...hope your countdown to the festive season is going to plan and that the beginning of December is a joyful one:)

With the weather a little wet and chilly yesterday...I had a chance to escape to the craft desk here @ Sandybeaches:) With Tilda from Magnolia Stamps coloured with Copics...the sketch this week over at Stampin' Royalty (#94) was fun to use to create a 'Just For You' card.

For my second card, I used the same Tilda image and popped over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday (#124) for inspiration and sketch. All in all a great way to end my holidays as it was back to work today:) I have a few birthday cards to create and post...so stay tuned this week for some more creativity here @ Sandybeaches!

Wow! How time flies when we're having fun!! We have had the most relaxing set of school holidays..spending time with fabulous friends visiting to explore and enjoy this wonderful part of the world with us! Lots of family fun time for all:) Camping, crafting, fishing, coffee, squiding, relaxing, eating, canoeing, swimming (well the kiddlywinks managed to take the plunge?!) the dads even had a chance to go boating and flying...and of course just in case we were going to get hungry - eating some more!! lol:)

With birthday celebrations today...I had a chance to Copic colour this fabulous Edwin Magnolia image that I was able to stamp when our visitors were here:) I popped over to Stampin' Royalty for colour inspiration and Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the sketch...a bit of Stampin' Up! paper, ribbon, sentiment, brads, punch and Cuttlebug embossing..and a cute card to take tonight to the pizza party!!

I had so much fun creating the first card that I made a second card also using the same image and sketch...just different colours:) Hope you are also having an awesome day!

With a sympathy card needed this week I went over to Sweet Sketch Sunday (#136) to check out the latest for inspiration:) Using this weeks sketch, Cuttlebug embossing, Stampin' Up! papers, stamps, inks, punches & ribbon I set out to create this simple yet effective 'Thinking of You' card.

I've had my cute Kraftin' Kimmie sketch (#97)ready and waiting all week and finally had a chance to play this morning! Copics colouring, Cuttlebug embossing, Stampin' Up! papers, ribbon, punches and a cup of coffee:) Fun! Fun! Fun! Stay tuned for some other cards in the pipeline:)

Here are the latest creations to jump off the craft table here at Sandybeaches...the first one is for a friend who is celebrating her birthday today...along with giving of a card & pressie - a yummy coffee & lunch was had to celebrate!! I used Unscripted Sketches (#125) for design inspiration, Stampin' Up! Stamp set, spinner, card & ribbon...and wahhlah...a simple but super 'birthday' card:)

The second card uses this weeks sketch over at Cute Card Thursday (#183), Lori Boyd digi image, Copics colouring and Stampin' Up! papers, ribbon, sentiment and label punch this 'Just For You' card came together oh so nicely:) Aaaah....its just oh so nice to be able to spend time at the craft desk!! Aaahh..can always count on SSW for finding my mojo:) Kiddlywink 2 was off for an 'Amazing Race' birthday party at a classmates house on Saturday afternoon...so of course I so cleverly leave it until Saturday morning to make time for the creativity!! Over the past few busy working weeks I have had snippets of time to create - here are 3 of the most recent additions to the craft desk here at Sandybeaches:) The first uses this weeks sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday(#107)...I had a request for a card for a 56th Wedding Anniversary Card on Thursday and so I popped straight over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday for inspiration! Stampin' Up! papers, ribbon, ink, sentiment & label punch; Lori Boyd digi images and Copics colouring and a whole lot of crafty relaxing time:)

The second card was inspired by the '1,2,3' theme over at Stamps R Us and the 'Summertime' theme over at Wags 'n Whiskers (#57)this week. The use of 1 image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments for this special 12th birthday card. Using paper from the 'stash', Surfin' Edwin from Magnolia Stamps, Copics colouring and Cuttlebug numbers and a hippity happity birthday card for someone special!

The final card for sharing today is a special one I made for Kiddlywink 2...a slightly 'non-traditional' card for his First Holy Communion celebrations! The sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges (#93) suits perfectly - as did the Lori Boyd image and Cuttlebug embossing:)

Here are my first creations for the month of June! I received these ever so cute Kraftin' Kimmie stamps for Mother's Day from the kiddlywinks...and I've finally had a chance over the weekend to use them! With a birthday parcel ready to send for a 'May Birthday' I popped over to see the latest colour combo at Colour Q (#83) and this weeks theme at Our Creative Corner of Embroidery Floss. As I am away from the craft desk my holiday kit included Copics coloured images By LORi Boyd; Stampin' Up! paper, dimensionals; coloured brads and cutter. I then raided mum's sewing stash for Embroidery Floss and wahlah... a mid week birthday card:)

On Friday I was just 'blogging around' checking out the latest in challenges to discover that I made it in the Top 3 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday for one of my Easter cards last week!! Wahooo:) With a trip to the city for 83rd Birthday celebrations just around the corner...I was getting inspiration to create the perfect card for my wonderful nan and there I was in the Top 3!! So here is my Friday afternoon creation - with this weeks sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday (#99) I then popped over to see the latest colours at Colour Q (#82) and set out to create...mind you I was supposed to be hanging out the washing, folding, planting vegies in my vegie patch, packing for the trip to the city, wrapping pressies...and so on..but ahhh creating nan's card was so much better:)

I took photos late yesterday afternoon of my creations hoping to have a chance to blog last night before setting off this morning...however those bits and pieces that I had put off earlier needed to be done! Luckily mum has internet access...so with kiddlywinks tucked in bed, the computer is warmed up and ready and plenty of Easter chocolate to munch on and a Kahlua & milk to sip...stay tuned for other snippets of weekend craftiness:)

While putting off 'jobs' on the 'To Do' list...or should I say putting 'crafty me time' first...lol...I managed to set myself up nicely with a cuppa at the craft desk:) The first card uses this weeks sketch at Stampin' Royalty (#69) and the gorgeous image & colour combo from By LORi Designs Challenge .....

And with a little bit of hot water added to the cool cuppa, the second uses the 'Just Add a Flower' theme this week at Just Add Ink (#66) I've done these flowers before and just love the the effect:) Using a variety of papers and the small scallop punch from Stampin' Up! crimp each one a few times, bundle them together with a brad...a little bit of 'scrunching' and wahlah..an ever so cute flower:) For a much more detailed tutorial...click here to follow where I got my original inspiration from and check out the creativity over at alittlelessuseless :)

A little bit of 'Bugs & Embossing' inspiration over at Stamps R Us and the 'Wings' theme over at Stamp Something this week led me searching through the stamps to find this cutsie dragonfly stamp that I've had for ages...a Kaisercraft stamp that I just knew would come in handy one day lol:) A Mother's Day card creation that uses Cuttlebug embossing, bling things from the local craft shop and gorgeous papers, ink, sentiment, ribbon & label punch from Stampin' Up!

With K1's orthodontic appointments at the end of this week keeping us from returning 'back to school' for Term 2...I decided to leave a crafty Mother's Day package for my relief teacher to do on Thursday:) So I created this 'good idea' in my head that became a little bigger than anticipated... 24 embossed cards; 24 pillow box die cuts - to hold 24 wrapped Tim Tams & 24 teabags; many paper punched flowers and the other bits and pieces were left for the PP/Yr 1 & the relief teacher to create for their mums:) I'm sure they will be made with love! (and hopefully not too much frustration - lol) So...here it is...the "Mother's Day Relief Pack"...

Hippity, Hoppity, Happy Easter! Sending you Easter Blessings for 2011:) I've just been 'hopping' around blog world this morning and had to share with you a fabric favourite place to check out...BeBe Bold I was first inspired by these designs at a craft fair last year! So with the Easter holidays upon us...best I get out those fabrics and patterns, dust them off and get creating...but with so many new products/patterns and inspiration...where do I start?! Mmmm..maybe a cup of coffee and some Easter choccy:) Have a great day!

Check out the magic weather we are having....we've just got back from a couple of nights camping...unpacked etc... etc...poured a glass of wine and thought I could just get a little crafty before the Easter Bunny comes:) and of course my Digi Stamp Boutique bunny images were Copics coloured and just waiting to be created into cards lol...

The first card I created used the inspiration of Flowers, Buttons & Sparkles from Stamp Something and this weeks Mojo Monday (#187) sketch.

The second card uses the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday (#98)and 'cos the bunny is so cute that there is no need for text as inspired by Cute Card Thursday (#161)...actually come to think of it I used no text for all three Easter cards this time...lol:)

And the third card uses this weeks colours over at ColourQ (#81) and the Easter theme over at Crazy 4 Challenges (#84)..actually all three cards fit into the hippy hoppy 'Happy Easter' theme! With creative fun with a craft buddy...my weekend creations just kept flowing on Sunday! With these cards now in the post to arrive to family for Easter my DigiStamp Boutique images were so fun to Copics colour:) The Stampin' Up! colours of Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry & Daffodil Delight ink & papers, Easter sentiment & embossing folders coordinated so well to create these three special Easter cards!! I made the first using 'Spring has Sprung' inspiration over at Stampin' Royalty ...

The second card is also 'Spring' inspired with a touch of Easter:) I had a chance to check out challenges on Friday over at Feline Playful and came across Daring Cardmakers for a bit of crafty inspiration!

The third card certainly was just a bonus as I was on an Easter/Spring roll!! Oh what a wonderful Sunday afternoon I had:)

Finally for each card I used Crazy For Challenges challenge of creating Easter Gift - so using a Pillow Box Die Cut and Textured Embossing folder (thanks to Stampin' Up! and my craft buddy for purchasing such cool products!!) I then added a little bit of ribbon & 'For You' stamp - oh and I popped in some tasty mini Easter Eggs..they are travelling as we speak to the kids grandparents to enjoy for Easter:)

With Easter just around the corner...snippets of crafty fun occurred over the weekend..Copics Colouring on Friday night and creative fun on Sunday..ahh I love craft buddies:) Now that the school holidays have arrived....ahhhh...hopefully lots more craftiness will occur:) Over at Just Add Ink this week it was 'Chocolate Wrapper Inspiration'...and with Ferrero Rocher high on the 'To Eat' list...inspiration was easy. My creation uses Stampin' Up! ribbon, inks, paper, punches & stamp and gold textured card from the ole stash...might just have to eat some now:)

My second weekend creation was using Cute Card Thursdays 'Weather Inspired' theme. The colours happened purely by how bright & fun the summer season can be:) So out came the Stampin' Up! papers, embossing folder, stamps and piece of 'beachy/sandy' paper & some bling things...again from the ole stash..wah lah...'Sun Fun'....

The third card for this post I think is my favourite...When I was browsing thru some challenges over at Feline Playful...I discovered a new challenge blog called Wee Memories and this weeks challenge was 'All Things Adorable' and the By LORi Boyd image I'd colour a 'wee' while ago just jumped out and was the starting point for my card..Stampin' Up! card, punches, bling, sentiment, Copics colouring and an adorable birthday card ready & waiting for someone adorable:) Stay tuned for the Easter creations in my next post! A very creative Sunday was had with a creative craft buddy:)

Sunday morning crafty fun:) We were heading out for a birthday lunch yesterday and was in need for a masculine card to celebrate a birthday...so I popped over to see the latest challenge at Unscripted Sketches for the latest sketch (US#99) and to Just Add Ink for a little more inspiration - this week to only 'Just Add Stamps' (JAI 61)...so no ribbons, brads, designer paper etc... So out came Stampin' Up! Fishy Friends Stamp set, Not Quite Navy and Old Olive papers, Versamark background stamping, Copics colouring..and wahlah...a nifty birthday card to go:) Mmmmm...what shall I create next?

3. I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends x

4. Chocolate is number one on my 'to enjoy' food list:)

5. Our 'Nespresso Coffee Machine' just makes the best coffee! Do yourself a favour and get one!

6. Craft fairs are exciting and inspirational to go too...especially if it involves travelling interstate and a few days home away from home....actually maybe thats why I have a few unfinished projects on the go...hee hee!!!

7. Just love where we live - fun in the sun, sea and sand for the whole family:)

8. Our softball team is in the GRAND FINAL this weekend...so fingers crossed that our game plan all season of 'Just have Fun!' remains true & strong enough for us to win!!!!

I just had to start this months blog with a peaceful picture showing the wonderful weather we experienced last weekend when we went camping:) Aaaahhh...lots of lovely relaxing was done by all!

This afternoon I popped on over to Stampin' Royalty (#62) for colour inspiration and Just Add Ink (#59) for a sketch and here is what I came up with:)

I then had a little more crafting time and used Sweet Sketch Wednesday (#92) for 'Mother's Day' inspiration:)

Copics colouring, Stampin' Up! inks, paper, punches and stamps, Cuttlebug embossing, 'Tilda' from Magnolia Stamps...crafty afternoon, take-away for dinner....ahhh a nice way to end the weekend:)

Have been out and about all day at a Softball Car Rally...what a hoot...we had a great time and managed to even come second place!! Here is the latest creation at Sandybeaches...a little Mothers Day card for the 'stash'...I've had a chance to do a bit of Copics colouring during the week and here is 'Tilda with Cherries' for the themes this week using 'Flowers' over at The Creative Cottage Challenge Blog and using 'Markers' over at Stampin' Royalty (SR#59).

Copic colouring, Cuttlebug embossing, Magnolia stamps, Lori Boyd digi images, Stampin' Up papers and inks...oolahlah how I have enjoyed weekend snippets of crafty fun!! The first is a Mother's Day Card to begin the early 'stash' for Mother's Day..yes...I know I don't need it until May?! I used the newly acquired digi image from Lori Boyd and the sketch from Wags and Whiskers:)

'Birthday Wishes' uses the sketch over at Unscripted Sketches (#93); copics colouring of another cute digi image from Lori Boyd; Cuttlebug Embossing; bling bits using 'Hodge-Podge Hardware' and papers from Stampin' Up!

With Valentine's Day only one sleep away...I've created the Valentine's Card using the sketch from over at Friday Sketches and cute Lori Boyd digi image to create this 'Love' card suits this weeks challenge theme over at Stampin' Royalty ! Over at Lori Boyd the colour challenge for this week just matched so nicely to this weeks Clean & Simple sketch that the 'Happy Birthday' card just came together so nicely last night:) Last but not least...the 'Just For You' card uses Tilda from Magnolia Stamps; Copic colouring; Stampin' Up! papers and bling; Cuttlebug embossing and the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday:) Aaahh...just love weekend crafty fun!

As the Summer holidays quickly come to the end..I found myself today crafting with a school purpose:) Aaaahh how nice my hobby and my work can cross over occasionally:) This fortnight over at Stamps R Us the theme is 'animals'...(its a two week challenge so pop on over here to play along as well)...so using my cute Stampin' Up! Fox & Friends set; Chocolate Chip ink; Old Olive, So Saffron; Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla papers; Two-Step Bird Punch for the stem/leaves; Cuttlebug 'Olivia' letter die cuts...here is a little 'Welcome' door poster for my classroom (which I can add the children's names to when I get the official list) and some name badges to use on Day One...again...left blank at the moment:) The weather was a scorcher here today so it was nice to stamp with a purpose and then head to the beach with the kiddlywinks this afternoon to cool down! Check out K1's yummy 'Iced Chocolate' creation here and K2's array of 'flies' he has made for fly fishing here! We've had a terrific summer break:)

Happy Monday to you wherever in this wonderful world you are right now:) Here are the latest creations to travel across my craft desk! Yesterday I managed to transform Stampin' Up! papers, stamps, punches, brads & ribbons, Cuttlebug embossing, Magnolia Stamps and Copics colouring into these cards! The first card - Happy Hellos - uses the theme of 'wings' from Stamping Royalty #55, the sketch over at Unscripted Sketches #90 and the colours of Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz and Vanilla from Inkspiration #54:)

The second card - Just For You - Tilda with Cherries, uses the sketch over at Just Magnolia (Week 90) and the combination of colours from the Analogous Colour Scheme at Our Creative Corner (clisk here to see the many possible colour combinations you can use).

The third card - Surfin' Tilda - again uses the colour combinations from Our Creative Corner and the great sketch over at Clean & Simple #124...so there you have it...my weekend creations:) Hope your week is a wonderful one...x

I grabbed a few crafty moments last night and finished these cards off this morning:) Both cards use this weeks monochrome themes at Just Add Ink and Cute Card Thursday and the sketch over at Unscripted Sketches. The first card celebrates a 'Happy Birthday and the second 'Happy New Year'. Using Magnolia Stamps, Copics colouring, ribbons, Stampin' Up papers, flowers, brads, Cuttlebug embossing...layer upon layer of crafty fun:) The 'Happy Birthday' card also fits in nicely with the theme of 'Let's Party' over at Cards for Men as I am popping this card in the post today to my great uncle:) The 'Happy New Year' card also fits into the bright & cheery theme over at Oldie but a Goodie. Aaahh...I'm lovin' these snippets of crafty time!! Anyway...better dash...we're off to take the kiddlywinks canoeing on the lake:)

Ho! Ho! Ho! and a Happy New Year:) After holidaying and celebrating Christmas with family...we are now back...home sweet home! It's been a busy but enjoyable and relaxing Christmas and New Year! So today I managed to dust off the craft desk and clear out the cobwebs...and get a little crafty for 2011:) I managed a little 'copics' colouring while we were away...so creating this 'Happy New Year' card was just a matter of coordinating the paper and finding a sketch! I popped in to see todays Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC#100) at The Sweetest Thing and after having fun in the sun with friends while we were away, Surfing Tilda just had to make an appearance for this weeks Just Magnolia theme of 'My Favourite Things' - mind you not that I'm a surfer by any stretch of the imagination but the beach with family and friends is for me!

Excitement is a buzz here @ Sandybeaches....Kiddlywink 1 has graduation celebrations tomorrow:) Coming to the end of primary school and entering the big world of high school! I still remember when she first skipped into kindy as a 5 year old without even looking back at the blubbering mess (me) that she had left behind...now @ 13...mum will still be a 'sooky la la' with feelings of both sadness and excitement as she enters the next stage of schooling! I blogged on over to see the latest sketch @ Unscripted Sketches (#84) to create this card for K1's graduation...accompanied and kind of colour coordinated with the Momiji 'luck' doll as a graduation pressie:) I know, I know...Stampin' Up! Kimono Kids stamp set is still my fav @ the moment!

Over the past few days I've been popping past the craft desk at every available moment and managed to create these cards!

The first one was a card that needed to be posted on Friday as it has a little way to travel to reach the birthday girl...I jumped over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday (#78)to see the latest sketch and my Stampin' Up! Kimono Kids set just jumped off the shelf and onto the card! With a little bit of colour coordinating to match the pressie...here it is! I'm sure she is now well on her way to safely travelling to her mystery birthday destination!

The second card is a Christmas one that will also need to be posted soon! I went over to Stampin' Royalty (#48) to see the latest colour challenge and then to see this weeks Mercy Tuesday Sketch Challenge (#102)and what came off the craft desk was a very 'non-traditional' coloured Christmas card:) Thought it ended up kinda cute really?!

And the third card is just one for the stash as the Just Add Ink (#46)- Just add Critters challenge let the Stampin' Up! cute ladybug fly off the craft shelf and onto the page using this weeks sketch over at Inktegrity(#25)...Aaaahhh...I've managed to seize a few crafty moments over the past few days and hope to add a few more Christmas ones over the next few days:)

Here are the latest over the craft desk here @ Sandybeaches..the first is one is for the celebration of becoming an Aunty for the first time!!! Wahoooo!! A cuddly baby boy arrived into the family this week! What a week of celebrations we've had! Of course mother, father and baby are all doing well...but what clever Aunty, Uncle and cousins we are!!! I popped over and used this weeks sketch at Just Add Ink (#45 )and some fabulous Stampin' Up stamps, ribbon, paper and punches...and a little smidge of Copics colouring:)

The second card was a little more challenging..I grabbed the colours from Inkspirations (Colour Challenge #50) and the sketch from Friday Sketchers (#130)...after a little bit of arranging and rearranging...I put the second card together last night as well...but not sure if its really me..as the baby card was made for particular reason/person/celebration and the second card was just because...but its out there now...and at least I had time for some crafty fun late in the week...mmm...hoping to have a little time for stamping tomorrow too:)

Here is 'Tilda with Roses' - she arrived the other day from Bizzybecs so I just had to have a play...the sketch is from the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog that I discovered yesterday when I was out and about in blog world...and only the second time I've used my new 'Copics' pens:) I coloured in Tilda first then had to mix and match papers, ribbons, flowers etc to co-ordinate with her outfit and flowers?! Wow...I haven't been on my blog all month and here it is - 2 posts on the same day?!? I had a little parcel arrive in the mail from Bizzybecs today and just had to have a play! Here is the lastest addition to the craft desk...Magnolia stamps images of Edwin and Tilda!?! Here is 'Edwin with Top Hat' and my first real attempt at using 'Copics' pens to colour/blend with:) A little bit of Cuttlebug embossing, some ribbon, sentiments stamp and label punch from Stampin' Up! and wahhlahh...the latest at Sandybeaches!!! When I popped over to Feline Playful to see what challenges were happening at the moment....Cards for Men are doing a Masculine birthday theme and it just so happens that we are off to celebrate an little mans 8th birthday this evening! Mmmm...what to make next.... lol:)

HELLLLLLOOOOOOO!! I'm finally back after...lets see...feels like forever!! I had a chance to organise and dust off the craft desk last weekend to make this little ole 'thank you' tag for my very generous friend and her husband for keeping an eye on our mini backyard farm of pets while we were away! They enjoyed the fresh eggs from the chooks, cuddles from the rabbit and mmm...lets see there were only 2 guinea pigs when we left and there are now 4?!? The kiddlywinks were just a little excited when we got home to the surprise of cute and cuddly babies! I had a little chance to play with my newly acquired 'copics' pens here on the 'Forest Friends' rabbit image from Stampin' Up! This weeks sketch over at Sweet Sunday just lent itself to the beginnings of my Christmas card stash....(oops I missed out on reading the added bonus challenge about it being a birthday card) Oh well...the stamped images are from Stamp It! and are called 'Christmas Delight' - I've had the stamp for AGES...I've cut three of the images and coloured them using my Stampin' Up! Wondercrayons & blender pen:) The colours were inspired from this weeks Picture Perfect Inspiration challenge over at Stampin' Royalty ...and to be honest not the 'normal' Christmas colours I'd use but as you can see below...I liked the combination so much that I used them again!

I've also used the colours again for the second card that I made today using the sketch over at Our Creative Corner...another one for the Christmas stash! Aahhhh...with a cold,wet, stay in your PJ's watching dvds kind of day we've had today...I love it when life lends itself to relaxing and a little bit of time to craft:)

Helloooo! Here is a little card I created last night for a special someone - using Sweet Sketch Sunday #83...we're off for birthday celebrations in 5 mins...so I thought I'd quickly pop these masterpieces on for you to see! (Hopefully she won't be checking the wonderful world of blog while waiting for us to get there..lol!) I cannot take the credit for the fantastic Black Forest Birthday Cake...my wonderful husband baked not one but two of these magnificent cakes today! One for afternoon tea and now one for dessert! The photo really doesn't give it justice...it stands well over 12cm high! What a Master Chef:) Anyway...better run...hope your having a hip happy day today! x

Stampin' Up Earth Elements colours of Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Not Quite Navy....a little bit of watercolouring with the blender pen, Cuttlebug embossing, word window punching, ribbon, brad, layer upon layer of card and wahlah! My mid week creation:)

Helping Hudson Sketch Challenge

Last night I popped on over to see this weeks sketch from Helping Hudson and created this fun fishy birthday card:) I was going to post it first thing this morning but the cleaning of pet cages, organising the spare room, removal of packing boxes & for sale sign and a trip out to the local chook farm to purchase some happy hens has kept us pretty busy!! We now have Lily, Nancy, Lucy & Franchesca happily scratching in their new hen house:) The dog wasn't too impressed about adding some fine feathererd (or not so feathered) friends to our family. Mmmmm...poor 'Nancy no feathers' does need a little TLC to help her tail feathers return! lol:)

The ribbon flower is a little bit of playing that I did at the Craft Show....I went along to learn how to make Ruched flowers from a strip of ribbon....Liz (from Punch with Judy) showed us how easy and fun they are to make (with a little help from a 'Ruching' ruler)...I now hope to make some more to coordinate with my favourite Stampin' Up colours and then add them to cards...mmm...so many little projects...where do I start?!

Wow....how the week is cruising by!?! Just thought I'd pop on a quick post to firstly say a HUGE 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to my mum:) Who of course is just one of the bestest people in the whole entire world!!!! Sending you huge birthday wishes and hugs across cyber space xxxx Secondly to pop on a few Craft Fair creations....the Paper Pieced Patchwork is from a fab group at Blue Willow Cottage (just click on their name and pop over to see what else you can find!!) I just loved the fact that all of the bits came in the kit and that I walked away learning how to Patchwork on the run (will be handy when waiting for the kiddlywinks at Soccer, Music, School, travelling in the car, relaxing in the sun..fun fun fun!) I've just cut out more hexagonal shapes to keep creating!!

The cute dragonfly is to make Sashiko Dragonfly greeting card...I still need to attach it to a card but couldn't help sharing it! Pop over to Be Be Bold - Japanese Textiles to have a look at other great ideas:)

Hello there!! Yes...it has been awhile between posts...mmm...busy, busy, busy!! I recently went to a fantastic craft fair (and fun escape with a super, fantastic, fabulous craft buddy) and have been meaning to post some of my latest crafty/gadget/must have things that I got hooked on but the battery for the camera needed charging after I took these two photos.

I managed to visit the wonderful world of blog yesterday and just couldn't resist seeing the latest colour challenge at Colour Q and the sketch challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday...and wahlah...here is my little bit of inspiration.

The cute little owl below is from a craft workshop I did while I was away..of course I had to buy the patterns, material and bits to make the whole owl family...and you can check out the talented Jane over at her blog at BeBeBold -Japanese Textiles...I'm also hooked on Sashiko Dragonflies...will need to share that with you next time:)

Wahhooooeee...I'm back online:) After having a chance to check out what was happening in the wonderful world of blog I was a tad inspired to create! So....here is a little something I just happened to whip up this evening! I've used the colours from this weeks Inkspiration challenge, the sketch from Mercy Tuesday and the beach theme from Our Creative Corner:) The Stampin' Up! colours of Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Regal Rose and Very Vanilla tied in nicely to the beach theme using the 'Life's a Breeze' stamp set! I've found my Mojo...and my craft desk:) We've moved house and have been surrounded by packing boxes so it's been few weeks since my last chance to 'play':) Thanks muchly to my craft buddy @ Donna Creations for coming to 'play' and to be able to use her camera & computer to upload this afternoon's creation! We found out Mojo with this weeks Mojo Monday's sketch and used to colours (Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla and Certainly Celery) from the Curtain Call Colour Challenge!

This weeks colour challenge at Just Add Ink focussed on using Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White. A little bit of Butterfly punching, Top Note die cutting, Versamark flower stamping, a few brads and using the latest Mojo Monday Sketch along with a little layer upon layer effect...I managed to squeeze this card creation in this evening while hubby was creating digital photo/music album arrangements (might I say look pretty schmick - love looking back over the past two years since moving out of the city and thinking that life's just great!!)Mmm....what's next?! Oh yeah...sleep, work, packing boxes (to move just around the corner) a dash to the city for the weekend for birthday celebrations, kiddlywinks sport, life:) and of course crafting..lol!! The colour challenge over at the Stacey's Stamping Stage for this weeks Curtain Call colour challenge were Green Galore, Garden Green, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and Cameo Coral...I did lots of shifting and shuffling, cutting and recutting, walking away and then coming back to create this card:) I've used the Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen at the Sweetest Thing. I've made another one of those fab flowers from Gardenia at alittlelessuseless...if you haven't had a chance yet...click here to see her fab tutorial on how to make them:) Anyway...hope your week is travelling along nicely:)

SR #24 Masculine theme

This weeks challenge at Stampin' Royalty is to make a masculine themed card! The other week at Stamp Club we made a patchwork card that I just had to try again:) You need to punch out 12 squares in a variety of papers, place them in a patchwork pattern, stick them to a white background, run them through the 'Top Note' die cut and then add your personal touches! I've used the Stampin' Up! 'Sweet Slumber Specialty' paper, cute fox from 'Fox & Friends' stamp set, Big Shot 'Top Note' die cut and 'Perfect Polka Dots' embossing folder, a fancy silver word frame and Chocolate Chip ink and paper! The fox has a particular purpose for this card..the family it's geared up for happened to catch one this morning!?!? The chickens will be safe once again! lol:) Hope your having a wonderful Sunday in your neck of the woods! x

Wow...I've just completed a combination challenge using colours from colourQ and sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday...the wow thing is the fab paper flower that I've made...thanks to Gardenia at alittlelessuseless for sharing her gorgeous flower creations!! I'm thinking this will be the first flower of many that may pop up from my craft table!! The colourQ colours were Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Always Artichoke and Vanilla...the sketch just called out for fab flower - layer upon layer of scallop circles, crimped and crunched:) but click here to pop over to alittlelessuseless for a way better description on how to make them...lol!! It's the first time I've used my Stampin' Up! Two-Step Bird punch too!!What an exciting way to start the weekend with...I actually began creating the card last night...popped back to the creation a couple of times in between breaky, fishing, packing boxes, lunch and have managed to post it before heading out for afternoon! Although it seems to be working just having it there to 'play' with as I'm walking by the study!! a bit here and a bit there!! So much crafting to do...so little time:) ps...Ooo just noticed that this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges is all about paper flowers...so I'm going to pop it in for that challenge too - bonus!!

I've just finished 'playing' with the latest Curtain Call Colour and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges and came up with this birthday card:) The colours were Sahara Sand, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Basic Grey and Dusty Durango. I've used the Stampin' Up! 'Happy Birthday Wishes' stamp from the 'Fun & Fast Notes' set, VersaMark flowers on the Rich Razzleberry card and a little bit colouring with the blender pen...mmm...fun, fun, fun....what's next?!

Here is my other Friday afternoon creation:) I was able to combine three challenges in one fantastic card!!! The first decision I made was to use the colours at this weeks Curtain Call colour challenge (Act31) - Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, Pretting in Pink, Night of Navy & Garden Green; then the Cute Card Thursday Challenge 114 was to use no designer papers and the great sketch is from Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge 17...all in all a great combination of challenges wrapped up in a little ole friendship card! mmm...what next?!

After a busy working week and a spot of 'house stuff' yesterday morning I popped out to have a coffee & see the kids do their school swimming lessons...leaving me a little window of opportunity to play at my craft desk in the afternoon:) Here is my Sweet Sunday sketch challenge...and I think that I'll just be able to submit it in for a last minute entry for this weeks challenge:) I loved the simplicity of the sketch...a little bit of stamping..a little bit of ribbon...a star embellishment to go with the rocket spacey theme...and wahlah...a nice way to spend my Friday afternoon! My next wet weather creation is for this weeks Stamping Royalty challenge...I just love, love, love the Stampin' Up! colours of Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive...my favourite colours at the moment:) They have come together so nicely for this 'So Kind' butterfly card:) Stamps from the 'Priceless' stamp set and a I must say a big THANKS to Donna @ Donna's Creations for lending me her wonderful butterfly punch...just love borrowing it!! Sweet Sketch Wednesday - SSW50

Here is another wet weekend creation:) For Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week I have created this bright & cute birthday card. Using Stampin' Up! Pumpkin Pie & Summer Sun papers and ink. The lion stamp(from the Fox & Friends set) was coloured in & then stamped to allow for the two/tone effect:) a little bit of background 'daubing', cuttlebug embossing, a bit of greenery using the leaves from my new bird punch, a little ribbon and there we have it!
